We are studying biomes
today do not forget to bring outside clothes because WE ARE
GOING OUTSIDE!! You and your team will discover different
food chains around this area and report how human interference
has impacted these biomes. We will also go over how to create a
formal scientific journal at the beginning of class. |
Your homework
includes writing a lab scientific journal discussing what
wildlife that you encountered and what and how human impact
has disrupted these environments. You must include a diagram of
any plant life and animal life that you encountered and how that
organisms relates to other organisms/ systems in the habitat.
You must classify up to 10 species of plant or animal by their
kingdom, phylum, class, order, genus, species ect.. and
catorigize them accordingly. |

Today we learned about the
basic structures and functions of plant and animal cells. You
are responsible for learning these structures and their basic
functions. See the curriculum page for instructions and it would
not be a bad idea to refer back to
www.cellsalive.com to
review. |
Your homework is to
complete your activity sheet if you have not already. You must
draw and label a plant and animal cell on a regular piece
of white computer paper. A example is The cell must be
colorful, labeled, and take up the entire piece of paper.
Students must also list on back of drawing main aspects of cell
and five interesting facts. |

Research paper on animal or plant species is due Oct. 30th.
Fallow MLA style with at least four references. Report
must have a title page with class name, teachers name, your
name, and animal or plants scientific name with a picture of our
animal/ plant species. Research paper must be a maximum
three double spaced pages, not less than 2 pages. Report must
contain description of animal/plant, biome, characteristics of
lifestyle habits, location/range, praetors, social interactions,
and preferred temperature range and terrain. |
