My name is Miss Peevy and thank you for visiting my webpage. I received by teaching certification from North Georgia College and State University in 2011 in Secondary Education in Biology with a minor in art. I am currently working on my masters and hope to later on further specialize in higher areas of science as my teaching career progresses. Some of my interests include the outdoors, camping, working with exotic wildlife, and four- wheeling on the weekends. Some of the goals in my life include traveling to a least one different country during my lifetime, and perhaps create and sell some of my own art. Science is facts; just as houses are made of stone, so is science made of facts; but a pile of stones is not a house, and a collection of facts is not necessarily science. Science contains a vast amount of information filled with complex ideas and concepts created to challenge students and present them with new vocabulary. Summarizing and note taking are especially important. Therefore it is the challenge of the teacher not only to teach the content but to teach the student how to understand, develop and analyze their own conclusion to the solution. Science is a trial and error subject in which results are often surprising so it is especially important that the student not only know his or her facts but be able to state their opinions and results in a professional and viable manner.
